Katherine Persichetti is a photographer born in New York City. After studying International Business at The University of Richmond in London, England, she served as Editor in Chief for The Red Pepper, a daily Ugandan newspaper based in Kampala. In 2010, she returned to New York to work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR) as a fundraiser.
She began her photography career in 2014 in Beijing, working with a documentary web-series called 'Beijing Slice', she freelanced performance photography, events and street photography.
That year, City Weekend, a local English magazine, named her in their “Top Instagrammers to Follow in Beijing” list and in 2015 she was included in the Candid/Street Collection at the Fifth Annual Exposure Awards.
In 2017 she graduated from The International Center of Photography in New York City with a certificate for Photojournalism and Documentary Photography.
Katherine now lives and works in Rome, Italy.
